Our community has made great strides in ending chronic homelessness in metro Atlanta. Please click the following links to see our achievements and results of our programs:
Results so far
- More than 400 housing units with supportive services created for chronically homeless bringing the total number of new units in the last four year to 2,000.
- More than 6,000 homeless individuals were served at the 24/7 Gateway Homeless Services Center last year.
- More than 600 homeless people were assisted in finding jobs by United Way partners.
- More than 2,100 homeless individuals were assisted with reunification through Traveler’s Aid of Metropolitan Atlanta last year. More than 10,000 have been reunited within the last four years.
- In metro Atlanta, 600 beds for homeless women and children were created over the last four years.
- More than 490 chronically homeless people have been assisted through the Shelter to Home and Street to Home program, of which more than 80 percent remain in stable housing.
- A case management training academy has been started, through which approximately 180 case managers have attended more than 30 workshops on various topics.
