The Metro Atlanta Workforce Funders Collaborative is seeking applications for the development and implementation of employer-led or employer-centric workforce partnerships in the health care sector to prepare incumbent front-line workers for career pathways at their employers or train unemployed low-skilled adults. These partnerships should offer innovative approaches to enabling low-skilled workers to advance in their career, and for health care providers to strengthen their existing workforce and cultivate a robust pipeline of entry-level workers. The Collaborative will provide a range of funding for activities that lead to career ladder/lattice advancement, resulting in outcomes such as the awarding of new credentials, increased wages, advancement or hiring.
A workforce partnership at a minimum must include at least one health care employer and one experienced provider of workforce development services for low skilled adults.
The closing date for proposals is Jan. 30, 2012. A bidder’s conference will be held on Dec. 20, 2011 from 2 – 3:30 p.m. in the Logan Room, First Floor, 100 Edgewood Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30303.
