Signature Projects in Education
Read for the Record – Oct. 6 This annual campaign promotes early literacy and childhood education through children reading the same book on the same day across the globe.
Absolutely Incredible Kid Day – March Encouragement is a critical component to children’s success. You can write letters of encouragement to elementary school students during this annual project. Adopt an entire classroom or just a few students.
Month of the Young Child – April National celebration recognizing the needs of young children and thanking educators and others involved in the education and care of young children. Hundreds of local organizations participating. Events across the metro region throughout the month.
School Tools for Cool Kids – July through Aug. Donate new school items or purchase a donation bag from Publix Super Markets to help children in need go to school prepared. Volunteers are needed to help sort the supplies.

Community Investment Volunteers
United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta is currently seeking volunteers to participate in our annual Investment Process which will allocate funds to community programs. Volunteers will be asked to make unbiased investment recommendations and commit their time and talents. No experience necessary.
