
Volunteers help to ensure that people experiencing homelessness have access to resources they need and support for a way out.

Signature Projects in Homelessness
Project Overcoat – Jan. Donate new and gently used coats and blankets for people in need. You can also volunteer to sort the donations.
Early Morning Outreach – Ongoing. Volunteer with a team to take homeless indiviudals off the street and connect them to case management and support services to get them into permanent housing.
Shoebox Project – Mar 1 – May1. Support homeless women and children throughout the metro area by donating shoeboxes filled with new, travel-size toiletries. Click here for ways you can help!
Celebrating Success – Ongoing. Meet and interview an individual who has overcome homelessness to learn more about the struggles and opportunities in our community for others facing homelessness.

Community Investment Volunteers
United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta is currently seeking volunteers to participate in our annual Investment Process which will allocate funds to community programs. Volunteers will be asked to make unbiased investment recommendations and commit their time and talents. No experience necessary.
