United
Way 211 Fiscal Year Report During the
2006 fiscal year, United Way 211 handled over 340,000 phone
calls. The 2006 Fiscal Year report was put together to show
the types of calls handled and searches performed on the
United Way 211 website. The report also includes information
about other services offered by United Way 211, as well as

Case
Management Training
United Way 211
is once again coordinating case management training; the
training will be offered in March and April 2007. The trainer,
back again for the second time, will be Joe Rulo, MSW from
Pyramid Training Services out of
Canton,
Ohio. The training
consists of 4-two day workshops which amounts to approximately
50 hours of instructions. The workshops schedule is as
follows: Workshop I: March 12th and 13th Workshop II:
March 15th and 16th Workshop III: April 16th and
17th Workshop IV: April 19th and 20th
The total cost
of the training is $700, or $350 for workshops I and II, and
$350 for workshops III & IV. For more information or to

Project
Overcoat
Project Overcoat
annually provides thousands of new and gently used coats and
blankets to men, women and children in need. Members of the
community can donate coats and blankets to any metro Atlanta
Lowe’s Home Improvement stores. Coats and blankets are made
available to local nonprofit agencies that are IRS designated
501 (c) 3 organizations. Click on the link below to apply for

Afterschool
for All: Project 2010
Project 2010 is
a national effort to raise awareness about the importance of
quality, affordable afterschool and summer programs for
America’s youth. In
Georgia, Project 2010
is a collaborative effort between the Georgia Afterschool
Investment Council, Georgia PTA and Afterschool Alliance.
These organizations have partnered to actively promote Project
2010 and try to reach 100,000 supporters that will send a
strong message to
Georgia’s legislators
and decision-makers that
Georgia’s kinds count.

of Social Work Career Fair
The Georgia
State University School of Social Work is preparing for its
1st Annual Social Work Career Fair, Thursday,
February 22, 2007
from 11:00
am to
1:00
pm. This event
will provide an opportunity for social service agencies and
other employers to meet with graduating BSW and MSW students
as well as provide a great opportunity for students, alumni
and potential employers to network.
An exhibiting booth
will be provided for each company. In order to reserve your
