IBM Offers Assistance to Nonprofit Organizations

Hello Everyone!

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Paul Towne and I am a client representative for IBM, specializing in serving non-profit organizations in
Georgia. I have a passion for non-profits and experience working in the non-profit space in both alumni relations and development at Emory University, and as a youth group facilitator at a child development research center. I recently completed my MBA at Emory and am excited to work with all of the dedicated people serving Georgia’s non-profit organizations..

My personal goal is to serve as a resource to non-profit organizations by helping to identify products and services which are affordable, accessible, and which will improve the operations of your organization – allowing you to better serve your constituencies.
I would be thrilled to spend an hour with you to learn more about your organization and your operational needs. Please feel free to contact me at any time to set up a time for us to speak.

Additionally, I would love to better understand the specific challenges/ concerns your organization faces with regard to technology and business processes. What keeps you up at night? Is it staff resources, internet security, data management, cost containment, desktop support, email filtering/ recovery, IT strategy, or something else? Please send me an email with 2-3 areas that are of most concern and I will address the most popular concerns in the next few editions of this newsletter..

Many thanks to the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta for their inspiration to create this column, and the opportunity to reach out to so many wonderful people and organizations. I hope to hear from you soon.

With best regards,

Paul Towne

Timely Premium Payments key to continued PeachCare Coverage

PeachCare is the public program that allows parents who have no other insurance options and income at or under 235 percent of the 2006 federal poverty guideline to purchase health insurance for their children. Due to budget constraints the program has been “frozen” to new enrollees and those dropped from the program will be unable to re-enroll.

To avoid loss of coverage, parents must pay their monthly premiums on time, by the first of every month. If your agency provides one-time financial assistance to needy families, please consider helping parents seeking emergency funds to meet the monthly premium payment deadline. Monthly premiums range from $10 to $35 for one child to a maximum of $70 for two or more children. For more information on PeachCare click on the link below.
