Innovative Solutions for Disadvantage & Disability

Mission: To promote health equity among children living in social and economic disadvantage with or at risk for disability. This mission is accomplished through research, education, and community service and support programs.

Details: Board meets eight time per year. 7-8:30 p.m.

Financial Commitment:  Members are asked to make a substantial gift to the organization.

Wholesome Wave Georgia

Mission: To strengthen local food communities by empowering networks of farmers to facilitate access to and awareness of healthy food choices.

Details: Board meets quarterly.

Financial Commitment: Board members are expected to make a $1,500 contribution annually. If this is not possible for the individual, we come with a plan to have the board member contribute in a different way (i.e., assist in writing a grant).

A Baby’s Helping Hand

Mission: To glorify God by providing newborn clothing and essentials to families in financial need, helping moms get a fresh start. A Baby’s Helping Hand provide gift bags full of newborn clothing and essentials to families of underprivileged newborns. Items include; onesies, complete outfits, socks, hats, sleepers, blankets and other essentials (0-12 months). A Baby’s Helping Hand is partnered with hospitals and local organizations that helps identify families in need.

Details: Board meets quarterly.

Skills and Knowledge For the Future Inc.

Mission: Committed to providing the highest possible standards of care and vocational and non-vocational training, aiming to unlock clients potential, increase their skills, knowledge and confidence, and support to maximize their employment opportunities.

Details: Board meets three times per year; can be via Skype

Financial Commitment: Each board member is asked to make a donation annually.

Skills Needed: Fundraising/Events; Government; Organizational Development
