Veterans Day is more than just a day off of work or school; it’s an opportunity to honor those who have served in our military.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, as of July 2016, there are 20,009 veterans in the Atlanta area. As an alternative to shopping during a Veterans Day sale, you can honor these veterans by spending your time instead. Fortunately, serving does not have to be tedious or boring! There are plenty of options from running a 5K to volunteering with your local Veterans Affairs office.

Below, we have listed some ways to become involved. Whether you want to honor those who served our country or you have served yourself, we encourage you to go out into your community and make a difference this Veterans Day!
