Partnership with FamilyWize delivers significant savings on prescription medications through its free, easy to use prescription discount card.

More than 95,000 residents across Greater Atlanta have saved a collective $10 million on their prescription medications since United Way of Greater Atlanta began its partnership with FamilyWize in 2015.

“People should never have to choose between putting food on the table or taking their prescription medication,” says Ebony Johnson, Manager, Health at United Way of Greater Atlanta. “That’s why we formed a partnership with FamilyWize. Their free prescription discount card can reduce the costs of prescriptions for anyone who uses it. It’s an extremely valuable resource that everyone, regardless of their financial situation, should use.”

FamilyWize cards can immediately lower the cost of a prescription medication by an average of 45% percent for people with or without insurance, or for those who take medications not covered by their plan. Just by presenting the FamilyWize card or mobile app at their local pharmacy, customers can save on the cost of their prescription medicine, no strings attached.

“We’re excited to see the people of Greater Atlanta realize the benefits of our prescription discount card,” said Susan Gilmore, Executive Director of Community Engagement at FamilyWize. “We hope that they continue to use the card and share it with others, as it can provide a significant savings.”

The use of the FamilyWize Prescription Discount Card is unlimited, does not require any personal information from the user and has no eligibility criteria.

To take advantage of the savings that FamilyWize offers, consumers can print a card from FamilyWize.org, can call 1-866-810-3784 to request a card by mail, or download the free FamilyWize app.
