The Research Tells Us

32%

In Clayton County, 32 percent of students—compared to 15 percent in our region—move during the school year. This disrupts learning for the student and their classroom.

17%

In South Fulton, only 17 percent of third graders—compared to 46 percent in our region—are strong readers. This is 20 points lower than the state average.

$400

In South Dekalb, more than 50% of families wouldn’t be able to cover a $400 emergency.

Three Strategies

With a clear understanding of the roles and resources that each sector brings to the table, we are investing in three strategies that offer the highest potential to strengthen, innovate, and organize communities with low child well-being scores.

Increase leadership development opportunities for individuals, civic groups and community coalitions.
