Event Details

The annual African-American Partnership (AAP) Day of Service is a multidisciplinary, fully-immersive, volunteer opportunity for the young men and boys who participate in AAP’s signature cause – academic achievement for middle & high school students. The Day of Service consists of S.T.E.A.M. related workshops from community volunteers like you, and a fun S.T.E.A.M. career expo where the young men learn about a myriad of possible career paths.

We are currently accepting proposals for two types of presentations.

AAP Career Expo Presenter

Staff booth with interactive display highlighting aspects of company and frontline career opportunities

AAP S.T.E.A.M. Workshop Presenter

Prepare 40-minute workshop presentation focusing on a key S.T.E.A.M. topic with interactive activities involving students and mentors

You may also register as an AAP “Day of” Mentor to spend spend a half day with students engaging them in the workshops, career expo, and providing personal examples from college/work industry to expand their aspirations.
