United Way of Greater Atlanta has been closely monitoring developments related to the novel Coronavirus. Based on guidance from the CDC on large gatherings, we have decided to postpone all events starting Monday, March 16th until further notice. This includes events related to Shoebox Project 2020. We will continue to monitor developments and keep you updated. UWGA is shifting its focus to providing relief in relation of COVID-19. Shoeboxes that are donated will be used to support those efforts.
Volunteers can still create Shoeboxes from home, to provide shoeboxes filled with toiletries to homeless men, women and children. It’s simple: Fill a shoebox with toiletries like soap, sanitizer and a washcloth. Wrap. Decorate. These much-needed essentials will be donated to non-profit partners in the Atlanta area.

Community members who are creating Shoeboxes, please hold on to those boxes for the time being as we work with our partners to determine placement.
For groups or individuals creating a large amount of Shoeboxes (over 150), please contact email@example.com.
