Sign up to get priority invites to a variety of volunteer projects planned by the YU student board. YU members receives service hours and special recognition by joining and volunteering. Projects fill up quickly. Become a member today.

Apply for a Board Member Position

Applications for the 2020-2021 school year are now open.

Board Members receive monthly leadership trainings to develop skills in the areas of advocacy, media marketing, project planning, public speaking, and more. From special guest speakers to a trip to the Capitol, these students get an inside look at making change in Greater Atlanta. Participants must be juniors or seniors, and will go through an application and interview process. The program is at no cost to participants, and the board term is September – May.

Open to students who are:

  • Rising 11th or 12th grade students
  • Community-minded
  • Able to commit to twice monthly meetings throughout school year (mainly in the downtown ATL area)
