The Early Learning Teacher Career Pathway training program is an innovative 10-day work readiness program specifically designed to recruit and instruct adults in how children, birth to five, develop and learn, and how to support their developmental needs in a child care program.

The Issue

For many youngsters in child care, more weekday waking hours are spent with caregivers than with family. Studies clearly support a connection between early care teacher education and program quality with child outcomes that promote school readiness.

United Way's Role

We must support high quality learning environments for these children by increasing the opportunities and access to career pathways to enrich the provider’s education toward higher credentials.
